Experienced Vice President with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental services industry. Katie is a Texas licensed Mold Remediation Contractor and Mold Assessment Consultant and is highly respected by her peers for her knowledge of regulations in Texas. She takes pride in her ability to connect with IAQM’s diverse client base and putting them at ease over their remediation projects. Katie’s duties include regulatory compliance, customer and vendor relations, reviewing job protocols, creating remediation work plans, and making new "piles of paper" on her desk within an hour of Valeria getting her organized yet again. Katie has a sweet tooth and considers herself a “foodie”. In 2011, in her spare time, she fulfilled a life-long dream of owning a restaurant and opened The Hole Thing Donut Shop in Forney, a popular and successful business that was sold in 2014 after the sleep deficit kicked in. She is an active volunteer in the community and is an Executive Officer on the Board of Trustees for the local food pantry in Forney, TX. Keith began his 17 year career in water restoration in Ft Worth, Texas. He went on to work with several companies in the restoration industry; setting up, training and managing new divisions. He managed and supervised the production side of restoration, from water mitigation to mold remediation to restoration. Keith has managed and supervised many CAT teams with crews of 100+ for large-scale commercial projects for several of the largest companies in the industry, including hospitals, universities and other commercial projects.
Valeria has worked with the Vrana's in some capacity since 2005. She started as a nanny for their young children and a personal assistant when they were on a large out-of-state project for almost 2 years. She stayed on until the children did not need child care. She then went to work for a family friend helping to start and manage a successful clothing boutique, all while maintaining a close relationship with the Vrana family. At the time the boutique closed, IAQM was looking for office help and Valeria was our first and only interview. She is a client and employee favorite, always smiling, friendly, and helpful. Valeria is fluent in Spanish and English and has amazing organizational skills. Her duties include payroll, customer service, estimating, bookkeeping, and keeping employees and the now almost grown Vrana kids in line. What she means to IAQM and the Vrana's can be summed up by Katie's oft quoted line "I can't do life without Valeria."

About IAQM LLC
In 1999, we had a mold issue in our own townhome. At the time there was very little known about indoor air quality and much less about the dangers contaminated air could produce. The passion for this industry began when our newborn son was rushed to the emergency room on two different occasions when he stopped breathing. We were determined to find out what was happening to our son and our family.
The next 3 years were spent researching and speaking with every expert that would take our call. This research resulted in Indoor Air Quality Management (IAQM). Our company is dedicated to research, testing, and improving traditional remediation methods. The first major breakthrough for IAQM LLC came when we discovered a mold remediation project could be considered “clean” by industry standards and still not be a safe environment for the occupants.
Discovering how mycotoxin contamination related to mold problems and remediation set the course for IAQM LLC. Over the past 14 years, this discovery has taken IAQM LLC to 42 states, Puerto Rico, and Panama. We have decontaminated millions of cubic feet of air space in homes, hotels, commercial buildings, and schools. Along the way we have provided hundreds of customers safe, healthy living environments. The passion is still going strong to ensure no other families would have to experience what we did.
We encourage you to look over the many services that we offer. Each service and/or product is offered so you can breathe easier.
What Makes IAQM LLC The Best Choice For Indoor Air Quality? The Difference Is Our Approach.
We are missing an important part of the equation regarding our health.
We spend billions of dollars annually on bottled water, organic food, gym memberships, supplements, etc.
How much did you spend on clean, purified air? Is it something you even think about?
Clean air is not a sectional science. There is a cause and an effect. In the early 1980’s, construction methods made our building envelopes tighter, all in the name of saving energy. While energy savings have increased, our indoor air quality has suffered. Buildings that can’t “breathe” trap and recycle the air continuously, including air contaminants. These contaminants include mold spores, pollens, off-gassing toxins, and household chemicals. This can affect your health and overall well being.
Where do these contaminants come from? The obvious ones are floods, sewer back ups, and water intrusions. These can cause mold growth and bacterial contamination. Some molds produce mycotoxins, a poisonous chemical compound. While you can clean up the visible signs of these events, your air will still contain contaminants you can’t see.
VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) are off-gassing from common items such as computers, appliances, furniture, carpets etc. Formaldehyde is a common VOC. If you have pets, you have pet dander. Think about the soles of your shoes for a minute. Think of everything you step on throughout a given day. Unless you remove your shoes before you enter a building, those items are now on your floor where they can become airborne.
At IAQM LLC, we approach air quality honestly. We understand the peril of contaminated air and we’ve developed the tools to restore clean air efficiently. IAQM LLC offers the industry a fresh alternative to traditional methods of single source remediating. I welcome you to review our website to see the many different services we offer. After having sustained a major loss to my commercial building I had called numerous contractors and most of them just didn't feel trustworthy or competent. After Speaking with Katie and Don i felt so much better. Not only were they competent but they followed through with everything they said they would do and I was at ease the entire time. Thank you so much !!!
Prior to finding IAQM, our family was contemplating walking away from our home and all its contents due to an air quality and mold problem. We have two young children and our main concern was providing a safe home for them. Our 9 year old son has an autoimmune condition that made it even more crucial that we find a solution. We did tons of research and spoke with several local mold remediation “experts”. However, we were disappointed that none of them properly addressed the issue of mycotoxins or understood how to improve the air quality inside our home. We were about to give up and walk away from our home. Luckily, during a late night internet search I came across IAQM. I was very impressed by their website and left a message for more information. The next day, Don called and he spent a lot of time learning about our situation and answering my questions. He then spent even more time talking to my husband. After talking to Don, we decided to fly his team to our town to decontaminate our house. The reason we decided to do this is that IAQM is the only mold remediation company using Sandia's Decon Foam to kill mold and mycotoxins. They also installed a very powerful commercial grade air purification system in our home. IAQM was also very helpful with securing financing. We are very happy with the results. We passed the air test after the decontamination process was completed. The level of professionalism was outstanding. We feel that they cared about our situation, are good people and wanted to help. The team was very thorough and the entire process brought us a huge sense of relief…not to mention that we didn’t have to walk away from our house and all our belongings. We highly recommend IAQM.
When we discovered we had a fairly large mold problem we were overwhelmed by the process required to remediate the problem. Testing, the physical remediation, retesting it seemed a little daunting. We contacted IAQM based on a personal recommendation. From the initial contact forward we were pleasantly surprised at the professional, friendly folks we dealt with. The day after contacting them a representative came to the house, surveyed the situation and more importantly explained the entire process. When the work began we were impressed with the quality and professionalism of everyone we dealt with. The technicians were careful to protect the areas where the work was to be done as well as nearby areas where we still had to live. The work was done in a very timely manner. Cleanup was complete and entirely to our satisfaction. Hopefully we will never need their services again but should we find ourselves in another mold situation we would not hesitate to contact IAQM. I heartily recommend IAQM for any remediation service anyone needs.
